The Knowledte Discovery and Data Mining Lab Course is designed to teach students hands-on skills in applying data mining tools to practical problem, and pursuing scholarly research in this area. The main focus of this course will be a research project, which will be carried out throught the semester. Students will write proposals, discuss progress in intermediate progress reports, and write a final scholarly paper. The research project may be chosen from a student's own research area.
